Linden Presbyterian Church is run by our Session (pictured top left), which consists of the following ministry teams:
Finance
Administration
Buildings & Grounds
Christian Education
Worship & Fellowship
Missions
All members of the church are invited to be a part of these ministry teams. If you would like to be a part of one of our ministry teams, please let anyone on session know and we will get you plugged in.
Our Deacons (pictured bottom left) oversee the fellowship and care of our congregation. They partner with our pastor to provide pastoral care and connection.
Our most vital local mission here at LPC is our FISH Community Food Pantry. Our pantry has been in operation for more than 40 years and has gone through many changes over the course of time.
The FISH pantry is run by a team of dedicated volunteers who assist shoppers with questions, coordinate food donations from various partners, and keep our pantry running smoothly and effectively.
The FISH Community Food Pantry serves the Linden school district as well as Lake Fenton, Byron, Gaines and Argentine. Clients call the office during office hours to schedule an appointment.
Clients are allowed to visit the pantry twice a month. The FISH Community Food Pantry is open for clients with appointments Wednesdays from 4:30 - 7:00PM and Thursdays from 10:00 - 11:00AM.
Linden Presbyterian Church has a thriving children's and youth program headed by our Youth Director, Stephanie Montague. There are a lot of fun opportunities for our kids to participate in throughout the course of the year. LPC Youth enjoys fellowship and fun while nurturing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
LPC also offers Sunday School for ages Pre-K through 5th Grade. Sunday School is held during our worship service at 10:00AM every Sunday.
Our Christian Education Team is always looking for folks to help out with their events. If you would like to get involved, please see any session member and let them know.
The Praise Band at Linden Presbyterian Church is always open to having the children come and help lead worship, especially during special events like Vacation Bible Camp or the annual Children's Christmas Program. The members of our praise band are Johnathan and Melissa Dugan and Jarrod Montague. They provide contemporary worship music to complement the traditional music and aspects of our worship services. If you have a musical talent, we would love you to share it with us!
Linden Presbyterian Church hosts quarterly Blood Drives for The Red Cross. These Blood Drives can be found on our calendar throughout the year. If you would like to donate blood, please call the Red Cross to schedule an appointment.
AA holds their weekly meetings in Linden Presbyterian's Fireside Room. They have a Monday night meeting from 8:00-9:00PM and a Thursday night meeting from 8:00-9:00PM. If you are interested in attending, please call the church office.
Our Annual Rummage Sale is a community favorite! We hold the sale once a year and begin collecting items a few months ahead of time. This is a wonderful opportunity to get involved as this event requires a lot of help. It takes a lot of hands to set up the sale, work the sale, and clean it all up when it's over.
SOUP SUPPER
Every year we have an event called Soup Supper that coincides with the Linden Homecoming Parade. The community is invited to come and have a bowl of homemade soup before, during, or after the parade. LPC is a prime spot to watch the parade and folks love to warm up with a bowl (or 2, or 3...) of soup before heading off to the Homecoming football game at Linden High School. We are always looking for volunteers to make soup, serve soup at the event, and clean up afterward.
The annual Coat Drive is held the first Saturday of November and is another community favorite. We collect winter coats, hats, gloves and mittens and give them away to people who need them. It is a very well attended event and one of the most rewarding to be a part of.
